The up coming challenge
So the 3rd week is just about over so far I'm feeling good loving the excercises and and starting to sleep better to which is a bonus, looking ahead to next week I must admit I'm not looking forward to it as It's going to be the hardest week so far by miles the heat in week 4 is really turned up so I'm just trying to relax these next two days to get ready for it.

Rest and Recovery
Hello again..
One problem I'm having that I think a lot of people will come across is the urge to over train, this I believe is due to being inpatient and wanting quicker results but also when you start training for a better body, for your sport or for whatever reason it feels good pretty much after the first session you start feeling a buzz and even more so when you see and feel results and the time goes by, you get more energy as your training progresses and you start to crave the buzz.
BUT...resting is just as important as the training itself so, next time it's Friday night and you just trained chest a day or two before and your pals are gathered around the bench press having a competition to see who can push the most weight out, DON'T
You need to have your days properly planned out this is why I like the AthleanX training program as it all just there for you there is no thinking involved and you don't have to mess around planning your workouts and its always different so it keeps your body guessing and keeps it interesting and challenging. When its time to train open my computer and there is the days program I grab my towel and a bottle of water and off I go, no messing.
Every night get your 8 hours sleep, eat healthy and train hard and your body will do the rest. If you feeling stiff (usually a day to three days after) you can help speed up the recovery process by taking an ice bath or if that's to much hassle then just run a cold bath no hot water at all and that will do the trick, by doing this you muscles will tighten up and therefore squeeze out all the lactic acid which in most cases is what is causing the stiffness. I tend to just do my workout and have a shower straight after and start with a cold one for a fer minutes then a hot one and just repeat a few times this will again tighten the muscle pushing out the lactic acid then once its hot relax the muscle and fresh blood will flow in again helping to remove the lactic build up. If your at the gym you could jump from one shower to another or from the sauna to the pool or shower.

Second week over
Hello good people,
Already starting to feel good I'm even waking up better and I'm far from a morning person.
My eating is also going pretty good healthy wise but, my portion sizes are huge so in this following week I'm going to really try and cut down and make sure I'm eating clean and watching my meal sizes.
I'v cut down my sugar intake and no fizzy drinks and just trying to drink plenty of water.
Also this next week I'm going to really push my intensity my workouts are starting to feel better and I'm pushing myself to finish strong I'm even enjoying the cardio as it's not the usual boring crap running for miles and picking up shin splints.
Stay tuned..

Welcome to my blog
OK so I got the athleanX training program found here after following some of the exercises on YouTube.
Now so I fully commit myself to this program I have posted my results on YouTube and will continue to do so weekly at the end of each workout week.
I will also be telling you about my nutrition as I go along different tips I pick up that I think you may benefit from, sticking points and anything else I find relevant.
Please use this blog and my YouTube channel found here in anyway you can that you find helpful.
If anyone would like to use a stopwatch to time your workouts or to keep a close eye on your rest time between sets I use an online stopwatch found here
I also don't have any equipment I'm using a back pack filled with bottled water for weight and shopping bags filled with the water bottles are also good for curls and raises and other exercises like that, thinking about it now it seems silly but what I'm trying to get at is that there is no excuse you don't need a gym or fancy equipment, don't get me wrong I'd rather have that in fact I'd love that but I'm not just going to sit on my arse being lazy and making excuses for myself and for now I will make do.
